The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday announced the men’s One Day Innings (ODI) batting rankings for 2026. The Indian team’s Virat Kohli has secured first position in the ICC men’s ODI batting rankings for 2026.

The Indian batter reclaimed the number one position with a rating of 785, reflecting his reliable performance in the ODI format.

Babar Azam: Pakistan’s only batsman in the rankings

Pakistan’s Babar Azam is ranked sixth, making him the only Pakistani player inside the top ten. With a rating of 722, Babar continues to be a central figure in Pakistan’s batting line-up.

The other eight players in the top ten

New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell is second in the rankings, followed by India’s Rohit Sharma in third. Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran is fourth, continuing his rise in international cricket. Shubman Gill of India is placed fifth, just ahead of Babar Azam.

Ireland’s Harry Tector is seventh, then comes the West Indies batter Shai Hope with eighth position in the rankings. Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka is ninth, while India’s Shreyas Iyer completes the top ten.
