The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 final is underway at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, after a delayed start caused by extended pre-match preparations and broadcast scheduling adjustments.

Chattogram Royals won the toss and chose to bowl first in the T20 final. According to the latest score, Rajshahi Warriors have made 162 for two in 18.3 overs, with Tanzid Hasan leading the innings.

Rajshahi batting summary

Rajshahi Warriors came into the field for batting as Chattogram won the toss and chose to bowl first. The openers were Sahibzada Farhan and Tanzid Hasan.

Rajshahi lost their first wicket at 83 when Sahibzada Farhan was caught by Aamir Jamal off Mukidul Islam in the 11th over. Farhan scored 30 runs from 30 balls, striking two fours and a six.

Kane Williamson added momentum but fell soon after reaching 24 from 15 deliveries. He was caught out by Mohammad Naim at deep extra cover off Shoriful Islam, giving Chattogram a key breakthrough at 130 for 2.

Tanzid Hasan scored the highest so far with a century off 62 balls, but could not stand till the last over and was
dismissed by Mukidul Islam. He attempted a slap shot to a length ball outside off, got a top edge, and the ball carried to deep point, where Aamer Jamal took a clean catch.

The fourth wicket was of Najmul Hossain Shanto, who was caught and bowled by Shoriful Islam. He tried to hit a short, on-off delivery, edged it, but failed and was caught out by Shoriful Islam.

Chattogram’s bowling effort

Mukidul Islam has been the most effective bowler so far, picking up two wickets for 20 runs in four overs. Shoriful Islam also claimed two wickets but gave away 33 runs from four overs.

While other bowling squad including Tanvir Islam, the captain, Mahedi Hasan, Mirza Tahir Baig, and Aamir Jamal, could not secure a single wicket.

Royals batting performance

The first wicket of Chattogram Royals fell at 18 runs when Muhammad Naim was bowled out by the ball of Binura Fernando.

Then goes Mahmudul Hasan at zero in the third over; meanwhile, Mirza Tahir Baig was the top scorer of the team with 39 runs off 36 balls. But he was stumped by Hasan Murad.

And the whole team was outclassed at 111 runs only while chasing a target of 175 runs.

Warrior’s bowling attack

The bowling line contributes a major part to the victory of the Warriors. Binura Fernando took four wickets and gave away only 9 runs. Adding to it, Hasan Murad took three major wickets by giving 15 runs, then comes James Neesham, who took two wickets and contributed towards the victory of the team. Abdul Gaffar Saqlain took only one wicket, while Tanzim Hasan Shakib could not take even a single wicket for the team.
