Pakistan is ready to host the very first ‘International Football Training Camp’ in Quetta. There will be a two-week-long training session beginning from January 26, 2026, to February 06, 2026.
The event is sponsored by the government of Balochistan in collaboration with the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Quetta. In a post at X, the spokesperson of the collaborating partner DHA Quetta said, “players will step into structured, game-relevant sessions where ability is assessed in real time through movement, decision-making, and execution.”
The first international football training camp is brought to Quetta in partnership with the Steven Gerrard Academy (UK), which is managed by Steven George Gerrard, an English professional football manager and a former player who most recently managed Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq.

The camp will be instructed by six experts from the Liverpool club of the Steven Gerrard Football Academy UK. The teams that will be participating in the session are two teams from North and South Balochistan, the women’s football team of Balochistan. Moreover, there are also chances of the Pakistan Army participating in this training camp.
This initiative is designed to elevate the football training in Quetta to the standards that international football demands. The training camp includes professional coaching standards and structured training systems. It is a focused move towards nurturing local talent and raising the benchmark for the game in the city.
