Former Provincial Minister, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has claimed that spouse of PTI founder Imran Khan,Bushra Bibi, gave a formal written permission before Imran Khan was shifted to PIMS Hospital.
He also stated that the decision seemed necessary according to the laws.
According to the former minister, Imran Khan‘s family is comprised of his wife and children. Considering the fact that the children reside abroad, it only made sense to take permission from his wife. All legal requirements were met.
He also revealed that upon the insistence of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s sisters were not informed of the matter.
Fayyaz-ul-Hassan further claimed that Imran Khan was apprehensive about a potential crowd gathering upon the news of his visit to PIMS and that there would have been a risk of contracting a disease or virus due to the crowd.
The former minister also blamed Youtubers for spreading baseless propaganda about Imran Khan’s treatment, saying that they only wanted to generate profits.
In view of the situation, Fayyal-ul-Hassan quoted the time when Nawaz Sharif required medical assistance while he was in jail.
He said that on the day Kulsoom Nawaz died, Nawaz Sharif had requested the jail administration to talk to her several times but they denied permission each time. Later at midnight, he was informed of his wife’s death.
Concerns over Imran Khan’s health
Earlier, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expressed serious concerns over the health of party leader, Imran Khan, claiming that he was being denied treatment by jail authorities for his eye condition.
According to sources, Imran Khan had been diagnosed with Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), a medical condition which causes blockage in the retinal vein.
