Operation herof 2.0

Earlier, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) launched ‘operation herof 2.0’ with synchronized attacks across different locations in Balochistan.

BLA terrorists claimed that their fighters were still holding positions in several districts across the province 15 hours after initiating the operation.

A spokesperson for the Balochistan government, Shahid Rind, confirmed that most of the terrorist organisation’s attacks had been foiled. Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) also shared on social media that at least 700 insurgents were killed by security forces last year.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that on January 31, Pakistan’s security personnel killed at least 133 terrorists during their counterterrorism operations across Balochistan.

The Fitna-al-Hindustan targeted areas such as Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar and Pasni.

According to ISPR, 15 security personnel were also killed during the operations, with 92 terrorists, including suicide bombers neutralised.

Counterterrorism operations are expected to continue under a national campaign called ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism.
