According to Iranian sources, the leader said that if the US attacks, it could instigate a regional war. He also guaranteed the Iranian people not to be frightened by Trump’s claims about bringing in aircraft carriers and warplanes.
Khamenei further stated that Iran does not wish to attack any country but if the US attacks, then the Iranian nation will deliver a strong blow and that any war started by America will spread to the rest of the region.
The US President also declined to answer a question regarding a final decision about the US-Iran conflict.
In view of the conflict, Iranian army commander-in-chief General Amir Hatami reaffirmed that Tehran is closely monitoring the situation and that the US is under complete surveillance.
