Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar Khan has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the party’s leadership and parliamentary party, alleged audio leak.
In the audio, Junaid Akbar Khan can be heard criticising the party’s parliamentary leadership, including the Chief Whip and parliamentary leader, accusing them of mistrust and ineffective coordination.
He is allegedly heard saying that the leadership “does not believe in anyone” and questioning the purpose of continued participation in parliamentary committees.
According to party insiders, the PTI provincial president conveyed frustration over what he described as daily statements by leadership figures while lawmakers remain confined to desk-bound opposition in the assembly. The remarks suggest growing internal tensions within the party’s provincial ranks.
“From today, I am no longer a part of the parliamentary committee, nor am I associated with you. I will speak to the speaker and request a seat in the opposition or as an independent’ he stated.
The development comes at a time when PTI is already facing mounting political pressure both inside and outside parliament, with internal disagreements increasingly surfacing through leaked conversations and public statements.
Sources further claim that Junaid Akbar Khan indicated his unwillingness to continue sitting with the current parliamentary leadership, raising speculation about a possible resignation from parliamentary committees. However, no formal resignation has been submitted so far.
