A video from Delhi’s Arun Jaitley stadium in India at the start of the ICC T20 World Cup is going viral, in which it can be seen that the cold drink bottles are being filled with leftover drinks in the disposable glasses.
In the viral clip, workers at one of the stalls in the stadium can be seen transferring drinks from the glasses into bottles.
However, the video is becoming a source of shame for India because social media users are claiming that these refilled bottles with leftover drinks will be used for resale in the next match.
Social media users raised questions about the stadium authorities, saying that the management was unable to provide a hygienic environment to the people. The users said that the refilled bottles could be unhealthy and would surely make people sick.
However, the stadium authorities, DDCA, BCCI or the beverage company didn’t release a clarifying statement on the matter.
Several individuals and cricket fans demanded strict action against those responsible and the stadium authorities. They also urged management to provide a better environment for the people during the ICC World Cup.
Abhishek Sharma in the hospital
In another development, Indian star player Abhishek Sharma was discharged from the hospital and declared fit to play in the ICC T20 World Cup. However, there is no official statement from the Indian team or from him on whether he will play in the ICC T20 World Cup or not.
Abhishek Sharma was in the hospital due to a stomach infection and fever. After arriving in New Delhi, he was not doing well, so medical help was necessary for him.
Earlier, Indian player Tilak Varma gave an update about Abhishek Sharma’s health.
