Fresh rumours about the music of Grand Theft Auto VI have begun to circulate online, giving fans an early taste of what the game’s radio stations might sound like. With about nine months left before release, leaks and speculation around the next title from Rockstar Games continue to grow.
One unusual promotion has also caught public attention. A retailer in Norway recently claimed that anyone who has a baby on the same day the game launches will receive a free copy. While the offer appears more playful than serious, it shows how much excitement surrounds the upcoming release.
Music has long been a key part of the Grand Theft Auto experience. Since 2001’s GTA III, in game radio stations have helped shape the mood of each city. Early titles mainly used music created within the studio, but the series took a major step forward with 2002’s GTA Vice City. Many players still regard it as one of the finest entries in the franchise.
Vice City featured late actor Ray Liotta as Tommy Vercetti and combined action, exploration and bright 1980s style. Its soundtrack became just as memorable as its gameplay. Tracks like “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson, “Owner of a Lonely Heart” by Yes, and “Out of Touch” by Hall & Oates helped define the game’s lasting appeal.
Questions over GTA VI soundtrack
Rockstar has not officially confirmed which songs will appear in GTA VI, but fans expect another strong soundtrack based on past titles. Recent online chatter has hinted at possible contributors, although none of the claims are verified.
According to a report by GameRant, posts that were later removed suggested that artists Neon Indian and Panama could be involved. Neon Indian recently hinted during a podcast appearance that work with Rockstar may not be over, though no direct reference to GTA VI was made.
Speculation also suggests that Panama’s song “Back to Life” and Neon Indian’s “Polish Girl” could feature in the game. Neon Indian previously appeared in GTA V, where “Polish Girl” played on radio stations and “Change of Coast” was used in GTA Online’s introduction. These past links have added weight to the rumours, though nothing has been confirmed.
As with many leaks, caution remains important. Some believe the quick removal of the original posts may suggest authenticity, while others say it could simply be routine moderation. Rockstar has revealed music collaborators ahead of launch in the past, so fans may not have to wait long for official details.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Until then, the mystery around its soundtrack continues to build anticipation among players worldwide.
