The weather in Lahore turned pleasant after light rain in several areas of the city on Wednesday morning.
Areas including Johar Town, Canal Road, Iqbal Town, Shera Kot, Scheme Mor, Yateem Khana, Sabzazar and Samanabad experienced a decrease in temperature giving a boost to the chilly conditions.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, most regions of the country is likely to be dry today while it would be cold in the morning and night.
Meanwhile over the last 24 hours rain with strong winds and thunder accompanied occurred at a few places in Balochistan, coastal and upper Sindh and Parachinar.
Previously, the weather in Karachi turned pleasant after heavy rain and a hailstorm in several areas of the port city on Tuesday (yesterday) afternoon.
Heavy showers were recorded in different localities disrupting the regular life and slowing down the traffic in peak hours.
Hail was reported from parts of Liaquatabad, Nazimabad and Gulistan-e-Jauhar with residents seeing hailstorms covering both streets and rooftops.
Rainfall was also observed in the site area Buffer Zone, Five Star roundabout and Nagan Chowrangi. Similar weather conditions were reported from Orangi Town and on University road.
The sudden change in the weather brought a relief from the dry weather but also the accumulation of water in low lands. The Meteorological Department predicted more scattered showers in the next few hours warning citizens to take necessary precautions.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a forecast stating that parts of Karachi and several other areas in Sindh are expected to experience light to heavy rain, with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
According to met office, a shallow westerly weather system is influencing the region, bringing these conditions primarily during the day and into the evening.
