The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have conducted successful operations in Quetta, and sent 14 terrorists to hell.
CTD officials said a targeted operation was conducted in the Darakhshan area of Quetta after receiving intelligence information.
The operation resulted in a fierce exchange of fire, which led to the killing of 8 alleged terrorists. Three CTD personnel were injured during the clash and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities confirmed that a large amount of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants.
Security forces also cordoned off the area and conducted a comprehensive search operation. Initial reports indicate that the killed terrorists were affiliated with a banned outfit.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in Barkhan, six more terrorists were killed during another exchange of fire. CTD officials stated that the terrorists were involved in subversive activities, and a significant amount of weapons and explosives were seized from them.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the CTD Balochistan for their successful operation in Darakhshan, which neutralized eight terrorists from the Khawarij group.
