Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has acknowledged receiving two purported resignation letters from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s office, dated Oct. 8 and Oct. 11, 2025.
In an official letter dated Oct. 12, Kundi notes the documents carry “disparate and un-alike signatures,” prompting verification.
He writes that he is out of the city and will return to Peshawar on Oct. 15, advising Gandapur to appear at Governor House at 3:00 pm that day so the letters’ authenticity can be examined and the matter settled under the Constitution.
The Governor’s note indicates the status of the resignation remains unconfirmed.
Ali Amin Gandapur responds to KP Governor’s objection over his resignation
KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said on X that the Governor’s Office has now acknowledged receipt of his Oct 8 resignation, which it had earlier denied.
He “reconfirmed” that both letters dated Oct 8 and Oct 11, 2025 bear his “authentic signatures.”
The statement comes after Governor Faisal Karim Kundi’s letter cited “disparate and un-alike signatures” on the two submissions and summoned Gandapur to the Governor House on Oct 15 at 3:00pm to verify authenticity.
