Model Mahnoor Rahim has spoken publicly about what she described as inappropriate messages allegedly sent to her by producer Umer Mukhtar, who is known to be a close friend of actor Hania Amir.
Hania shares a visible friendship with Umer, who works as a producer at Hum TV. She is often seen with him and his wife, Dua, as they move in the same social circle. Umer also helped organise Hania’s recent shaadi-themed birthday celebration. The two frequently appear together in social media reels, and Hania attended his wedding celebrations.
Umer is known to have professional ties with several celebrities, including Mahira Khan. He is also said to share a close bond with Dananeer Mobeen, who has referred to him as her “brother” on social media.
Alleged late-night messages
Mahnoor claimed that Umer sent her a direct message in 2023 at around 3am while she was in Canada. She said she initially opened the message thinking it was work-related, but alleged that he simply wanted to chat.
According to Mahnoor, when she confronted him, he claimed to be single. She also shared screenshots of what she described as their conversation. In one of the exchanges, his wife reportedly responded with, “Thank you for letting me know.”
Although Mahnoor did not directly name him in her initial remarks, many social media users claimed they were able to identify the producer.
Following her statements, several women came forward in the comments section. Maha Wajahat of Maha’s Photography wrote, “I wish I had the courage to share my worst experience with him.” Another woman commented, “Yes, this is Umer Mukhtar. I went through the same thing.”
Some users also questioned Hania’s continued public appearances with him, pointing out that she often speaks about women’s empowerment.
The allegations remain unverified, and Umer Mukhtar has not publicly responded to the claims at the time of writing.
