The well-known actress Hania Amir distanced herself from the famous director of Hum TV, Umer Mukhtar (as per his Instagram profile), after he was accused of exploiting underage girls and sending inappropriate messages to women.
Social media influencer and model Mahnoor Rahim accused Umer Mukhtar on Thursday of sending inappropriate messages on Instagram at weird times. Mahnoor confirmed that Mukhtar told her that he is a good friend of Hania Amir.
Mahnoor Rahim said that Umer Mukhtar texted me on Instagram at 3 am for the intention of “chit chat”. She confirmed that she responded to his messages because she thought the conversation would be about work.
Mahnoor Rahim said that she realised that Mukhtar’s intention was not right and she came to know that Umer Mukhtar was married as well.

Mahnoor also remarked that she confronted Umer Mukhtar for messaging on weird timings, and he is nikhafied, on which Umer Mukhtar said that she has recently entered into Nikah, but he is “not married.”

Model Mahnoor Rahim also stated that she reached out to Mukhtar’s wife with the screenshot of his messages. Umer Mukhtar’s wife thanked Mahnoor for letting her know.
Hania Amir distances herself from Umer Mukhtar
Hania Amir also wrote in her Instagram story in the support of social media content creator Mahnoor Rahim.
She wrote in a post on Instagram, “My name has recently been mentioned in online conversations regarding a situation I had no knowledge of or involvement in… I want to address this clearly, she has a zero-tolerance stance towards harassment, exploitation and any conduct that compromises the safety and dignity of women and girls”.
“These are serious realities that must always be treated with gravity and respect. I support the courage it takes to come forward and stand firmly for an environment where every woman and girl feels safe, heard and protected”.
“In light of the concerns raised, I have chosen to distance myself from the said individual (Umer Mukhtar in this case).
“Any perceived association should not be interpreted as endorsement of another person’s actions,” states Hania.
Hania Amir also remarked, “commitment remains to accountability, respect and fostering safe spaces across all industries and communities”.
