Hajj pilgrims health advisory

A health advisory has been issued once again for Hajj pilgrims by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

It has been mentioned that those who are suffering from complex and dangerous diseases cannot be allowed to travel for Hajj.

According to the ministry people who are suffering from severe diseases like advanced cancer will not be able to go for Hajj.

Similarly, pilgrims with serious heart diseases or heart failure, kidney failure, chronic respiratory and severe lung diseases as well as liver diseases, will also have to avoid travelling.

The ministry has warned that in case of submitting a false or fake medical certificate, the concerned one may face legal action under the Saudi laws.

Hajj pilgrims have been directed to take special care of their health and follow the regulations and to procure an authentic medical certificate and keep their full medical records with them during travel.

The ministry has pointed out that Hajj has to be carried out in a safe and healthy way in compliance with religious responsibility so that any unpleasant situation can be avoided.

In other news the second phase of Hajj training under the government scheme will start after Eid. First Hajj flight from Pakistan will fly on April 19th.

According to media reports, pilgrims will undergo immigration clearance at Islamabad Airport through the Road to Makkah project.

Meanwhile, the Hajj pilgrims with the help of private operators will fly directly from the Peshawar airport.

This year, over 180,000 pilgrims from across Pakistan are expected to perform Hajj including those people who were unable to make the trip last year.

Authorities have also re-included pilgrims from Peshawar and elsewhere in the province, who had missed this opportunity.

However, some of these pilgrims, it has been reported, have been asked to pay extra charges by private travel agents.
