Sehri and Iftar times are slightly different in each city because of location, as Muslims across the country begin the holy month.

Sehri, Iftar duas
Sehri (Suhoor) Dua:
“Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri Ramzan.”
Translation: “I intend to keep the fast tomorrow in the month of Ramzan.”

Iftar Dua:
“Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu wa ‘ala rizqika aftartu.”
Translation: “O Allah, I fasted for You, I believe in You, I put my trust in You, and with Your provision I break my fast.”

Ramzan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and lasts 29 or 30 days, depending on the sighting of the crescent moon.
Muslims observe fasting from dawn to sunset, refraining from food and drink while focusing on prayer, charity and reflection.
