The financial assistance amount under the Benazir Kafaalat Programme has been increased for deserving families, according to an announcement made by the Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid shared the good news with beneficiaries stating that the stipend amount has been enhanced. She conveyed the announcement through a special video message.
Addressing beneficiaries Senator Rubina Khalid said that starting from the current quarter the Benazir Kafaalat Programme payment has been increased from Rs13,500 to Rs14,500. She advised recipients to carefully count and receive the full payment of Rs14,500.
She further explained that if any beneficiary receives a reduced amount under the Programme they can easily file a complaint. For this purpose beneficiaries should visit their nearest BISP tehsil office and inform the Assistant Director or concerned official about any deduction in their stipend after which they should request a complaint form related to embezzlement or unauthorised deductions.
Applicants must provide their name, CNIC number, mobile number, payment collection location, and details of the deduction on the form.
The complaint will then be investigated and if verified the concerned bank will be instructed to take legal action against the agent responsible for the deduction. Once the process is completed the deducted amount will be returned to the beneficiary.
In addition beneficiaries can contact the helpline at 0800-26477 for any complaints or assistance.
Citizens are advised to bring their original CNIC and registered mobile number when visiting the BISP tehsil office. Those unable to fill out the complaint form themselves may seek assistance from the office staff.
