The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended a West Indies player and team officials over allegations of corruption.
According to the ICC, West Indies cricketer Jeevan Searles, team official Chittranjan Rathore, and Trayvon Griffith have been suspended for breaching the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Code.
According to media reports, the suspensions are based on allegations of corruption that emerged during the Bombay Ten League in Barbados. The three individuals are accused of offences including match-fixing or conspiracy, encouraging others to commit an offence and failing to cooperate with an investigation.
Trayvon Griffith, in particular, is also accused of not cooperating with the investigation. ICC stated that all three have been suspended from all cricket-related activities.
On the other hand, the cricket website has released the list of male and female cricketers who won awards in 2025.
The awardees include eight Indian, three Australian, and two South African cricketers, while one cricketer each from Bangladesh and Afghanistan also received an award. Players from the Indian women’s team, which won the ICC World Cup in 2025, won awards in all categories.
In T20 cricket, the Batting Award was won by Phil Salt and the Bowling Award by Kuldeep Yadav. The T20 League Batting Award went to Mitchell Owen, and the T20 League Bowling Award was won by Taskin Ahmed.
