Iran’s new Supreme Leader Ayatullah Mojtaba Khamenei, has issued his first statement since his appointment. In his audio message, Ayatullah Mojtaba Khamenei stated that Iran would avenge the blood of the martyrs and affirmed that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed.
He said, ‘My position demands much from me. The people have shown the world that Iranians are a great nation. Without the support of the people, I have no significance.
The Supreme Leader added that the enemies are targeting the Iranian people and emphasised that ‘we must defeat our enemies.

He reaffirmed that Iran will not relinquish the right to avenge the blood of its martyrs, and that the unity of the Iranian people will always endure. He prayed for Allah Almighty’s guidance in leading the nation. He warned that if American bases are not closed, attacks will continue.
He added that the people will defeat the enemy through solidarity and that Iran will not remain passive in avenging its martyrs, particularly those of the Manbij School.
He affirmed belief in friendly relations with neighbouring countries and stated that Iran is only targeting military bases, a policy that will inevitably continue.
He further declared that the Strait of Hormuz must remain closed to exert pressure on the enemy and that American bases in the Middle East should be closed. He stressed that all martyrs, including every Iranian, will be avenged, and that Iran’s focus remains solely on military targets.
