Which roads in Karachi will be closed tomorrow for Youm-e-Quds rally?

Traffic flow in Karachi may be affected on Friday as a religious group plans to hold a Youm-e-Quds rally in the city, reports on Thursday suggest.

According to a spokesperson for the Karachi Traffic Police, the rally will start from Numaish Chowrangi and proceed to Aman Tower.

Which Karachi roads will be closed?

Due to the procession, traffic on MA Jinnah Road and nearby streets is expected to remain under pressure. Citizens have been advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

Traffic officials said commuters who are travelling from Teen Hatti towards Tower can take the route from Gurumandir through Soldier Bazaar and Bahadur Yar Jung Road towards Holy Family Hospital. Or they can travel via Banaras Chowrangi to PP Chowrangi and Corridor Three.

Similarly, traffic coming from Nazimabad towards Tower has been directed to use the route from Lasbela through Nishtar Road, Ranchor Line, and Civil Hospital Karachi.

Traffic approaching Numaish from Fresco Chowk and Eidgah Chowk will be diverted from Tibet Centre towards Regal Chowk, Empress Market, or Jubilee, then towards Aga Khan III Road and the Coast Guard area to reach Soldier Bazaar.

Citizens who are travelling from Daudpota Road and Lucky Star towards Numaish will be redirected from Preedy Chowk through Saddar Dawakhana to PP Chowrangi or Regal Chowk.

Meanwhile, commuters who are travelling from the Karachi Zoo area towards Zeb un Nisa Street can use Aga Khan III Road, the Coast Guard route, Bahadur Yar Jung Road, and Soldier Bazaar. Or they can also travel via Anklesaria Hospital towards Saeed Manzil.

Traffic police have advised the citizens to cooperate with traffic officials and law enforcement. And to follow the issued instructions.

Lahore and Islamabad

Large processions are expected in Lahore from Islampura toward the Lower Mall, which may cause heavy traffic congestion around Mall Road, Data Darbar, and the Walled City of Lahore.

In Islamabad, entry to the Red Zone will be allowed only through Margalla Road and the side of the Islamabad Marriott Hotel.

Other entrances are expected to remain closed to prevent rallies from entering the diplomatic enclave.

Fazal-e-Haq Road toward China Chowk will remain closed. Commuters have been advised to use Jinnah Avenue or 7th Avenue.

Large gatherings are also expected near G-6 Markaz, and groups may attempt to move toward D-Chowk.
