The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has set up a new complaint redressal system to remove obstacles faced by eligible citizens receiving the Rs12500 assistance under the Ramzan Relief Package 2026.
The initiative was launched on the directives of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Social Welfare Department establishing special redressal committees to address complaints during the distribution of relief funds.
According to an official statement, any eligible person facing difficulties in receiving the payment can immediately approach the office of the relevant Assistant Commissioner for assistance.
CNIC or mobile number errors
Authorities said that if a beneficiary’s record contains incomplete or incorrect details, such as errors in the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) data or mobile number, the Assistant Commissioner’s office will verify the information and forward the case to the Deputy Commissioner for correction.
Fingerprint verification issues
For elderly or disabled beneficiaries whose fingerprints fail to match during verification, officials said they can obtain a certificate from NADRA along with a Family Registration Certificate (FRC). The documents can then be submitted to the Assistant Commissioner’s office so that the payment can be transferred to a close relative.
Death of beneficiary
In cases where a selected beneficiary has passed away, authorities said the payment can be released to eligible family members after submission of a death certificate and an application, in line with NADRA records.
Blocked CNIC
Officials clarified that payments cannot be issued against a blocked CNIC. In such cases, the amount will be returned to the Director of Social Welfare.
The chief minister has directed district administrations to ensure swift resolution of complaints, stressing that deserving individuals should not have to make repeated visits to offices during the holy month of Ramadan. The move aims to ensure that relief funds reach beneficiaries without delay.
