Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed that Iran will continue to defend its sovereignty and national unity, declaring that the country will not bow to external pressure under any circumstances.
According to Iranian media reports, President Pezeshkian strongly criticised Israel and the United States, accusing both countries of attempting to weaken and divide Iran.
He said the ongoing conflict targeting Iran is part of a broader effort to destabilise the country internally. “The enemies’ goal is to create division and unrest within Iran,” Pezeshkian said, stressing that the Iranian nation will remain united in the face of foreign pressure.
The Iranian president further stated that Iran is fully prepared to safeguard its independence and territorial integrity, adding that external attempts to influence the country’s internal affairs will not succeed. The remarks come amid rising regional tensions and increasing political rhetoric between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, said that the war will continue until the United States and Israel regret their actions.
In a statement released on social media, Qalibaf said that US President Donald Trump was drawn into the war by Benjamin Netanyahu, who started the conflict through deception and is now controlling its course.
He added that Iran no longer sees any difference between the United States and the Zionist government regarding the major crime that has been committed.
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Europe’s stance on the Iran-US conflict is regrettable. In a message posted on the social media platform X, he said that European countries supported the war against Iran in the hope of gaining greater support from the United States on the Ukraine issue.
