‘Afghanistan suffered many times from consequences of misguided decisions’: Sami Yousafzai

Deadlock Continues in Pak-Afghan Talks

Afghan journalist Sami Yousafzai has expressed concern over the current situation in Afghanistan in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He raised a question, asking whether, after Mullah Omar, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada is now pushing Afghanistan towards a deeper crisis.

He wrote that Afghanistan has repeatedly suffered due to wrong decisions and unnecessary wars.

According to him, history shows that when leaders choose conflict instead of wisdom, innocent people always pay the price in the form of loss, poverty, and long lasting grief.

Sami Yousafzai said that a true leader does not take people towards war but chooses peace, protects dignity, and promotes stability.

He added that war is not a sign of strength or political skill, but a failure that only brings pain and tears.

At the end of his statement, he said that the people of Afghanistan deserve better conditions and have the right to peace.

“War is not a sign of strength or political skill. It is a failure that leaves behind only pain and tears,” he stated in his post.

He ended the post with, “Afghans people deserve better. They deserve peace.”

Propaganda about civilian casualties in attack a lie: DG ISPR

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Director General (DG) of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), spoke in an interview on a private news channel on Wednesday.

DG ISPR shared key details about the recent attack in Kabul during an interview with senior journalist Hamid Mir on his television show.

The DG ISPR said that India is sponsoring terrorism from Afghanistan and providing drones to the Afghan Taliban.

Pakistan has no fight with the Afghan people, he said, further adding that the people are themselves being held hostage by terrorists.

He stated that the actual target of the operation was an Afghan Taliban ammunition and drone depot.
