The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted the entry of a westerly wave in Karachi from Tuesday evening.

The system is expected to bring irregular rainfall to the city from Wednesday.
The city is also expected to receive showers from March 25 to March 29. This is along with strong winds and thunderstorms, according to the weather department.
Rain forecast for other Sindh districts
Several districts in Sindh are also likely to receive rainfall during the forecast period. These include Hyderabad, Sukkur, Dadu, Kashmore, Jacobabad and Larkana.
Earlier, the PMD said that a western weather system would enter parts of Balochistan on March 24 and is expected to intensify by the night of March 27.
Rainfall is likely in several areas of Balochistan, including Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran, Gwadar, Pasni, Lasbela, Khuzdar, Chagai, Dalbandin, Kalat, Sibi, Kohlu, Quetta, Barkhan, Naseerabad, Loralai, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob and Mastung.
Rain disrupts Eid prayers in Karachi
On the first day of Eid ul Fitr, several parts of Karachi received rain with thunder and lightning. This disrupted Eid prayers in some areas.
Rain was reported in Malir, Shah Faisal, Gulshan e Iqbal and Gulistan e Johar.
Strong winds and rainfall were also recorded in Scheme 33, Safoora Chowrangi, Sohrab Goth, North Nazimabad, Federal B Area, North Karachi and Buffer Zone, as well as Guru Mandir, Lasbela, Liaquatabad and Nazimabad.
Coastal areas such as Sea View and Clifton also received rainfall.
The Met Office has warned that windstorms and hailstorms may damage standing crops in parts of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
