ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal and Chief of the Army Staff Asim Munir has stated that Pakistan Army will defend every inch of our homeland adding that by defeating a numerically larger enemy we have shown the world our warfare capabilities.
Addressing the passing out parade of the 152nd PMA Long Course at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, as the chief guest, the Army Chief said that with the grace of Allah and the strength of national resolve, Pakistan stood united as one nation and confronted the enemy like a wall of steel. He added that Pakistan once again triumphed over an adversary intoxicated by a false sense of superiority.
He said India acted hastily by making baseless accusations and avoided any impartial investigation. The presentation of fabricated evidence by India, he noted, proves that the Indian ruling party has politicized terrorism to serve its malicious agenda.
The Army Chief stressed that through its clear victory over a numerically larger enemy, Pakistan has earned not only the respect of its people but also recognition from the international community.
He added that this success has further strengthened the youth’s belief that the Pakistan Armed Forces are a fundamental pillar of national strength.
“I assure the nation that, God willing, we will never allow even an inch of this sacred homeland to fall into enemy hands,” the Army Chief declared.
He paid tribute to the courage and resilience of the people of Pakistan, saluting every soldier, sailor, airman, brave man and woman, child, and elder who made sacrifices in these testing times.
The Army Chief further commended the veterans, national leadership, bureaucracy, religious scholars, scientists, media, and members of the education sector, saying they all deserve recognition for their contributions to this national success.
This professional army, tested in all conventional battlefields for two decades, has proven its capabilities in the conventional arena by giving a befitting reply to the enemy, Army Chief.
‘No Room for War’
Giving a stern warning to India the army chief said, “If aggression is attempted again, Pakistan will respond much more severely than the enemy expects”.
In war, our weapons will reach far and prove to be more damaging, destroying the fabricated concept of security of India’s geographical size, he said
The military and economic losses inflicted on the enemy will be much more than India’s expectations, the field marshal warned.
“I advise the Indian military leadership and strongly warn that in a nuclear environment there is ‘no room for war’ between the two countries”, he said.
The Army Chief stressed upon India to resolve the fundamental issues with Pakistan on the basis of equality and mutual respect in accordance with international norms.
“We will never be intimidated by your rhetoric and will give a decisive response to any kind of small provocation”, the Field Marshal warned.
Pakistan has successfully emerged as a net regional stabilizer in the region and our relations with global powers, especially Muslim countries, have further strengthened, he said.
Pakistan has consistently proven to play a key role for peace and stability in the region and beyond, the army chief said.
