The Prime Minister (PM) of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, has welcomed Pakistan’s offer to facilitate the talks between the United States (US) and Iran on Wednesday.
The PM of Malaysia also praised the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif’s diplomatic efforts towards peace. He also commended the efforts of friendly countries.
Additionally, the PM stressed on reducing tensions in the region, uniform international rules and serious diplomacy.
Pakistan ready to host, facilitate US Iran talks: PM Shehbaz Sharif
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, took to the social media platform X to announce that the country is ready to host and facilitate the talks between the US and Iran.
In the tweet, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan welcomes and fully supports ongoing efforts to pursue dialogue to end the WAR in the Middle East.
‘In the interest of peace and stability in the region and beyond,’ he added.
The prime minister further added, “Subject to concurrence by the US and Iran, Pakistan stands ready and honoured to be the host to facilitate meaningful and conclusive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict.”

Trump posts PM Shehbaz’s US-Iran talk proposal on Truth Social
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, later shared the tweet by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, on his Truth Social account on Tuesday, where the PM said that the country is ready to host and facilitate the US Iran talks.

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran wants to reach a deal at any cost and progress is being made in this regard, on Tuesday.
Speaking at the White House, President Trump said that ‘we have eliminated the Iranian leadership and are now talking to the right people who want to make a deal.’
President Trump added that the current situation indicates that matters are moving towards an agreement and that Iran is serious about reaching a deal.
