Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), on Monday, has extended the admission deadline. This has given thousands of applicants more time to apply.
According to the information provided by the university administration, the last date for admissions to all programs, from matriculation to postgraduate level, has now been extended to April 15.
This decision applies to a wide range of programs. These programs include matric, intermediate, BS, teacher training programs, associate degrees, and postgraduate diplomas.
Officials said the decision was made due to the Eid ul Fitr holidays and the requests received from students across the country, so that more students could benefit from this educational opportunity.
After this extension, students who were unable to apply earlier for any reason will now be able to submit their applications.
The university has clarified that admission forms and prospectuses are available online. This allows students to complete their registration easily from home.
The decision has also been widely appreciated on social media, where students are actively reminding each other about the new deadline.
