A gunfight is underway between the Indian military and Kashmiri freedom fighters in the Arhama area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Reports indicate multiple injuries among the Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir police.
The Inspector General of Police (IG) for Kashmir has arrived at the site to oversee operations.
Indian false-flag operation exposed
Pakistani security sources claim that India was planning a false flag operation involving Pakistani prisoners, according to reports on Monday.
Officials say the alleged plan would have seen prisoners moved to border areas in Indian-administered Kashmir, with the aim of staging incidents that could later be blamed on Pakistan.
Alleged purpose of the plan
Sources told local media that the objective was to raise tensions along the border and create pressure on Pakistan.
They added that India could use the operation to portray Pakistan negatively at the international level.
“The main aim appears to be to increase border tension and keep Pakistan’s military engaged on the eastern front,” one source said.
Pakistan claims intelligence breakthrough
Pakistani security agencies reportedly intercepted Indian communications and uncovered details of the alleged operation in time to prevent it.
At this stage, the claims remain unverified independently, and there has been no official comment from Indian authorities.
