International Airlines have resumed their operations in the Middle East after the ceasefire took place between the United States (US) and Iran, brokered by Pakistan today.
This update is being hailed as a good news for passengers looking to visit other countries since the situation has improved after the ceasefire.
Pakistan Middle East flights
Iceland Air flights from Kuwait to Pakistan have resumed today. This is the first Iceland Air flight since March 1 that flew from Kuwait to Lahore.
According to the airport sources, more than 150 passengers have arrived in Lahore on the flight.
The ceasefire agreement brought stability in the region, allowing a normal flight system.
On Friday, April 10, Pakistan is expected to hold the Islamabad peace talks between the US and Iran. A local holiday is taking place then as well.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took to the social media platform X to announce the ceasefire.
Security arrangements are being made along with other preparations in the capital, looking forward to the US-Iran peace talks.
According to a spokesperson for Islamabad Police, traffic diversions will be put in place on the Srinagar Highway due to the movement of foreign delegations.

Adverse weather disrupts flights
Severe disruption hit air travel across the country today as harsh weather conditions led to the cancellation of 70 flights. These cancellations affected both domestic and international operations.
According to airport sources, several flights departing from major airports were grounded as a precaution.
This includes Allama Iqbal International Airport flights in Lahore.
A number of services bound for Gulf destinations were also cancelled due to the weather disturbances and security concerns.
In Lahore alone, 12 flights scheduled to fly to destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bahrain, Kuwait, Doha, Dammam, Jeddah and Fujairah were cancelled.
Peshawar also reported 10 flight cancellations. In addition, the federal capital, Islamabad, saw 23 flights grounded. Karachi had the highest number, with only 27 flights cancelled.
