Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has introduced a new package of financial benefits for frontline workers, offering cashback rewards, loan relief and preferential banking rates.
The limited-time initiative, valid until April 30, 2026, aims to ease financial pressures by supporting essential workers with daily expenses and improved financial flexibility.
Under the offer, eligible customers can receive 100 per cent cashback of up to Dh1,000 on utility bills and fuel purchases made using ADCB credit cards. An additional 10 per cent cashback, capped at Dh1,000, is also available on grocery spending.
The bank is providing priority service access at branches and through its contact centre, along with preferential rates on key lending products.
Personal loans start from 3.99 per cent per annum, auto loans from 1.49 per cent flat per annum, and mortgages from 3.99 per cent per annum. New personal loan customers will also benefit from a six-month grace period.
For existing customers, ADCB is offering payment relief options, including up to three instalment deferments on personal loans without fees, while car loan and mortgage holders can defer up to two instalments free of charge.
In addition, the bank will automatically waive credit card interest charges on retail outstanding balances for April 2026.
Other benefits include a salary overdraft facility of up to twice the customer’s salary with no processing fees, as well as three months of Takaful coverage worth Dh500,000 upon salary transfer.
UAE announces new benefits for people who lose their jobs
Losing a job can be overwhelming, but the UAE has introduced clear protections and benefits to support workers during this difficult time.
Under the UAE Labour Law, Federal Decree Law No 33 of 2021, private-sector employees are guaranteed several financial and legal entitlements to ensure a smoother transition after employment ends.
One of the key benefits is the end-of-service gratuity, a financial payment awarded to employees who have completed at least one year of service. This amount is calculated based on the employee’s basic salary and duration of employment.
Workers with one to five years of service receive 21 days’ basic salary per year, while those with more than five years receive 30 days’ salary for each additional year.
However, the total gratuity cannot exceed two years’ salary. Employers are required to clear all dues within 14 days, and delays can be reported to Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
In addition, some employees may benefit from the alternative end-of-service savings scheme, which replaces traditional gratuity with an investment-based fund.
Under this system, employers contribute monthly to approved funds, allowing employees to receive returns when their job ends, while previously earned gratuity remains protected.
