Karachi Board announces interannual exams 2026 date, update on admit cards

The schedule for the Interannual examinations 2026 has been announced on Wednesday, and the admit cards of all private candidates have been sent to their provided home addresses.

According to the details, the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has made an important announcement regarding the conduct of the annual examinations 2026.

Board officials say that the first phase of the examinations will begin on April 29, for which all administrative preparations have been completed.

The Chairman of the Board said that the admit cards of private candidates have been sent to the residential addresses provided by them.

Those candidates who have not yet received their admit cards have been instructed to contact the board office on April 27.

In case of non-receipt of the admit card, students will have to bring their fee receipt, registration card or matriculation mark sheet.

The board has finalised the arrangements for students of Science, which includes Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering. Additionally, for the General Group, Arts (Regular) and Home Economics.

Officials say that comprehensive measures have been taken to conduct the exams in a transparent, fair and orderly manner at all designated centres.

Board officials further claim that better planning and coordination have been ensured for the 2026 exams. This is so that students do not face any kind of difficulty.

Thousands of students in Karachi are preparing to appear for these exams.

Registration begins for e-marking

In a separate development, the registration process for the E-marking of the Intermediate Part I Annual Examinations 2026 has started in Karachi for eligible and willing teachers to check the exams.

According to the details, the BIEK announced that the registration process for eligible teachers has started.

The Sindh government has constructed a high-level fact-finding committee to enquire into alleged irregularities about the shifting of examination centres during the Karachi matric exams.
