Entry into Islamabad’s Red Zone to remain suspended tomorrow

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, on Monday announced that entry into the federal capital’s Red Zone will remain completely suspended tomorrow.

Taking to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, the DC stated: “Entry into Islamabad’s Red Zone to remain suspended on April 21.”

Regarding the offices and schools, he wrote that they have been advised to adopt work-from-home to avoid inconvenience.

JD Vance to leave for Pakistan on Tuesday: reports

The vice president (VP) of the United States (US), JD Vance, is expected to fly from Washington on Tuesday to travel to Pakistan to take part in the second round of peace talks with Iran, according to CNN’s correspondent at the White House.

The reports further add that the second round of talks between the US and Iranian delegations is currently planned for Wednesday in Islamabad.

According to the details, the situation ‘remains fluid’ due to continued heated public rhetoric by both the US and Iranians.

Adding more, the reports say that the White House told CNN there is no formal word on timing, but “we expect the delegation to be on the road soon, but unclear when.”

The Iranian delegation is planning to travel to Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan, on Tuesday, tomorrow, reported The New York Times on Monday.

The delegation will likely arrive tomorrow for round two of the negotiations with the US, according to two senior Iranian officials, the report says.
