To enhance passenger services, the Pakistan Airports Authority has chosen to implement an electric passenger mobility cart service that will be accessible via an app at domestic airports.

This service will first be made available at Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Multan airports.

The PAA will offer the service via tender. This service will offer travellers a comfortable and speedy way to get to the concourse hall from the parking lot and to the parking lot from the terminal building.

PAA Director Commercial Rabia Salma states the service will be digital and users will be powered to book, which will be a modern passenger travel experience and provide them with convenience.

This service will be especially convenient for the elderly, and those who are disabled, and those travellers with a lot of luggage.

The service will be the first effort from the PAA to upgrade their services and create a modern, and environmentally friendly service. It is expected to improve the travel experience at domestic PAA Airports.

In the previous month of March, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) had also said they were taking immediate action as dangerous thunderstorm activity was reported across the Sindh Province.

They were taking all precautionary measures to keep the travel activity safe for the passengers, and to keep the airport activity safe.

The PAA had instructed authorities to examine runway surfaces and ensure drainage ditches remain unobstructed to avoid serious incidents.

The PAA had also ordered the use of bird shooters and fumigation to control birds and insects.

The Meteorological Department had previously warned of a new weather system that was expected to bring rain to Sindh. It was expected that various areas of the province would see rain that could persist until March 29.
