Peshawar Zalmi will play the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final for the fifth time on Sunday, and there is positive news for the team ahead of the big match.
The eleventh edition of the PSL is nearing its conclusion, with the final scheduled for Sunday, May 3, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Peshawar Zalmi, who secured their place in the final by winning the qualifier, will face the winner of Eliminator 2, either Islamabad United or Hyderabad Kingsmen, in the title match. The team is currently in strong form, and there is encouraging news regarding their squad ahead of the final.
Bangladeshi fast bowler Nahid Rana, who is part of Peshawar Zalmi, is set to rejoin the team and will be available for the final. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), which had initially allowed him to play in the PSL only until April 13, has now issued a new No Objection Certificate (NOC) after Zalmi qualified for the final.
According to the BCB, the decision was made considering the importance of participating in a major franchise league final. The team management and medical staff have also declared him fully fit.
It has been confirmed that his participation in the final will not negatively affect his fitness or national duties.
Nahid Rana has been in excellent form recently, taking seven wickets in four matches for Zalmi. He also delivered strong performances in the series against New Zealand and will now be available for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan.
