The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced a development package worth Rs23 billion aimed at improving infrastructure, security and employment in the Kacha region.
The initiative includes projects in education, health, transport and law enforcement.
Officials said the plan is designed to strengthen state presence in the area and support local communities.
As part of the package, the government will launch an agriculture scheme called “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar”.
Under the programme, around 14,500 acres of state land will be allocated to residents for farming.
Ms Nawaz said the Kacha area had remained peaceful over the past five months, describing it as a period in which government authority had been more firmly established.
Funding has been divided across several sectors.

A further Rs1.7 billion has been allocated for additional projects.
The plan also includes mobile services such as clinic-on-wheels, veterinary units and laboratories to improve access in remote areas.
Police operations will be supported by surveillance measures, including Safe City cameras and solar-powered drones to monitor movement and check posts.
In education, authorities have approved the construction of dozens of new schools and the rehabilitation of existing ones. New institutions for girls are also planned.
Officials said support programmes for students will include the distribution of milk packs to female students, as well as scholarships and laptops for selected candidates.
The government says the package is part of broader efforts to improve living conditions and expand economic opportunities in underserved regions.
