Zayn Malik cancels US tour after illness

Zayn Malik, the former musician from One Direction, has cancelled all of his US tour dates, along with several concerts in the UK, due to hospitalisation for an unknown illness.

In an Instagram story, Malik expressed, “Thank you so much for all the support and love you’ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I’ve felt it, and it’s meant the world. I’ve been at home recovering, and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before.”

The singer mentioned in the story, “I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I’m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z.”

However, a few shows in the UK and Mexico scheduled for later this month are still available on his website.

This announcement follows two weeks after Zayn Malik was hospitalised on the day of his album release for an unspecified illness, raising concerns among his fans.

“Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week, I wouldn’t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding”, the singer shared on Instagram.

The English singer also expressed gratitude to all the remarkable hospital staff, including doctors, nurses, cardiologists, management, administration, and everyone who assisted along the way and continues to do so.
