Karachi Shahrah-e-Bhutto to open before Eid ul Adha

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced on Sunday that Shahrah-e-Bhutto will be opened for traffic before Eid ul Adha, referring to the road’s inauguration as an “Eid gift for the residents of Karachi”.

The Sindh CM made this declaration after inspecting significant infrastructure projects throughout the city.

“Shahrah-e-Bhutto will greatly ease traffic congestion within the city and improve connectivity between the M-9 and N-5 highways,” he stated, noting that heavy traffic will be diverted outside the city, providing relief to the citizens of Karachi.

The Sindh CM commented, “This road is not just another project, it will act as a vital artery for Karachi’s economy.”

Sindh CM calls on authorities to speed up Red Line BRT work

The Sindh CM also urged authorities to expedite the work on the Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line corridor, stating that all mixed-traffic lanes along the Red Line corridor should be finalised within two months.

While inspecting the under-construction Azeempura flyover at Shah Faisal Colony, he instructed Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab to ensure the project’s completion within 90 days.

It is important to note that the flyover is part of Shahrah-e-Bhutto, which is being built near the Shah Faisal Interchange to facilitate a signal-free route for traffic to and from Jinnah Terminal and surrounding areas.

“The Red Line and Shahrah-e-Bhutto are essential corridors for the city, and there will be no unwarranted delays or compromises on quality,” he added further.
