Pakistan has made a great milestone in the information technology sector, surpassing over 70 countries and ranking as the best in the world.
The country has shown impressive digital capacity and skill competing against more than 500 international academies in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
One of the key factors that have contributed to this success has been the SCO Software Technology Park in Mirpur and the Cisco Networking Academy.
With their initiatives, thousands of youths have been empowered with globally recognised IT skills, and are able to compete in the global digital economy.
More than 100 IT setups that have been set up in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan have also contributed to achieving this distinction.
These programs have not only created a stronger IT infrastructure in Pakistan, but have also helped in highlighting Pakistan as an emerging technology hub.
Consequently, the role played by Pakistan in the global technology scene has increasingly taken centre stage with its flag being hoisted high on the international scene.
This, according to experts, is a strong indication of the fast rate of digital development in Pakistan and its willingness to invest in human capital.
They add that these developments will provide new employment opportunities, innovation, and economic development, especially among the young generation.
Through the joint efforts of SCO and Cisco Academy, the IT industry has been raised to new levels and this has provided a strong platform on which the industry can develop further.
This success story demonstrates how strategic partnerships and talent development programs can change the technological perspective of a nation, and can make a long term difference in the lives of the people.
