Court sets date for indictment in Rajab Butt rape case

Recently, a Lahore court has fixed April 22 for the indictment of Rajab Butt and his co-accused in a rape case.

The hearing was conducted by Additional Sessions Judge Yasir Arafat in the Sessions Court. Rajab Butt and other nominated individuals appeared there.

During proceedings, the court distributed copies of the charge sheets and challans to the accused and summoned all parties for formal indictment at the next hearing.

Additionally, the petitioner argued before the court that the Nawab Town Police Station did not present the facts accurately when registering the case, reports say. According to the reports, she also requested that her interim bail be confirmed permanently.
