Dubai’s Emirates group is continuing a major global recruitment drive as the aviation sector grows rapidly. The company announced plans to hire around 17,300 employees during the current financial year. These jobs are given across more than 350 different roles.
The recruitment campaign covers many departments within Emirates Airline and dnata, including cabin crew, pilots, engineers, customer service staff, catering workers, IT specialists, finance employees, and HR teams. Dnata on its own, plans to recruit more than 4,000 workers for cargo, catering, and airport operations.
Emirates Group has become one of the most attractive employers in the UAE and internationally. The company revealed that it received more than 3.7 million job applications from people around the world who are interested to work for the group. Applicants are attracted by the good reputation of the company, as in tax-free salaries, employee benefits, training programmes, and many career growth opportunities.
Moreover, benefits offered to employees include medical and life insurance, discounted travel tickets for workers, workers families, and cargo discounts.
The company said it plans to organise more than 2,100 recruitment events and open days across 150 cities worldwide to find new hiring. These events will include to hire pilots, engineers, cabin crew members, IT professionals, and other specialists. Inside Dubai recruitments will also focus on UAE students and graduates as part of the country’s Emiratisation programme.
To add on, Emirates Group has already hired over 41,000 professionals, since 2022. This includes nearly 27,000 operational employees. The group’s total workforce has now grown to more than 121,000 employees globally.
Company officials stated that despite global tensions and situation of economy, the demand for travel remains very strong. Emirates continues expanding and will require even more operational staff in the coming years. The airline expects to receive new aircraft and increase flights to existing and future destinations.
Emirates announces huge salary bonuses for employees
Earlier, the Emirates Group unveiled a huge reward package for its workforce, announcing a 20-week salary bonus after delivering record-breaking financial results for the fiscal year 2025–2026.
The aviation giant, which includes Emirates airline and its ground services arm dnata along with subsidiaries in cargo, catering, travel, and retail, posted its highest-ever performance figures.
The group reported a profit before tax of Dh24.4 billion, marking a 7% year-on-year increase. Revenue rose to Dh150.5 billion, up 3%, while cash reserves climbed 12% to Dh59.6 billion.
In a message of appreciation to staff, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, praised employees for their dedication during a difficult period. He said March 2026 would be remembered for the challenges faced, but also for the resilience, commitment, and professionalism shown by the workforce, expressing deep gratitude for their efforts.
Despite operating in a “disruptive and challenging” environment, particularly amid regional aviation instability triggered by geopolitical tensions, the group managed to maintain strong performance. Industry conditions, which had been recovering after the pandemic, were temporarily affected, though operations are now gradually stabilising with airlines restoring routes and capacity.
