Senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah told parliament that authorities were providing the best possible medical treatment to PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi during their custody.
Speaking in the Senate session, Rana Sanaullah said lawmakers had discussed the PTI founder’s health and meetings with him. He added that the law does not allow anyone to use such meetings for political purposes.
He also said that continued confrontational politics against the federation would not improve the situation. Rana Sanaullah alleged that some elements had promoted an anti-state narrative and claimed he could present evidence to support his remarks.
Meanwhile, during the National Assembly session, opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai asked the government when officials would arrange a meeting with the PTI founder and when authorities would shift him to a hospital of his choice.
Separately, PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said the party fully supported Achakzai’s position. He said PTI had approached the Supreme Court several times and repeatedly moved the high court but had not received any relief.
Barrister Gohar also claimed that authorities were not allowing anyone to meet the PTI founder to assess his condition, further intensifying the political debate over access and medical treatment arrangements.
