The schedule for the England tour of the defending Under-19 Asia Cup champions, the Pakistan national under-19 cricket team, has been announced.
During the tour, the junior national side will play one four-day match and four One-Day matches against the England Under-19 cricket team.
Pakistan U-19’s tour of England will begin on September 2 and continue until September 16. The series will mark the team’s first major international assignment since this year’s ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
According to the schedule, the four-day match between the two teams will be played in Arundel from September 2 to 5.
The first One-Day match will also be held at the same venue on September 9. The second One-Day match will take place in Guildford on September 12, while the final two One-Day matches will be played in Wormsley on September 14 and 16.
The tour is being viewed as an important opportunity for the young Pakistani players to showcase their talent. Although Pakistan failed to progress beyond the Super Six stage of the Under-19 World Cup, the team had earlier won the Under-19 tri-nation ODI series in Zimbabwe without losing a single match.
The Pakistani side also delivered an outstanding performance in the most recent ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, winning the title by defeating the India Under-19 cricket team by 191 runs in the final. Pakistan suffered only one defeat during the tournament, which came against India in the group stage.
Cricket fans are hopeful that the young Pakistani team will continue its strong form and achieve success during the tour of England.
