Shoaib Malik denies any link with Pakistan Panthers franchise

Sohaib Malik clarification

Pakistan cricket team’s former captain and renowned all-rounder Shoaib Malik has categorically denied any association with the Pakistan Panthers franchise, calling on the organisers to immediately stop using his name in connection with the project.

In a statement posted on social media, Malik said he was “not associated with Pakistan Panthers in any capacity” and requested the organisers to “refrain from making such announcements.” He also called on all stakeholders to immediately remove any references linking him to the franchise.

The former Pakistan captain’s statement comes amid confusion surrounding his reported involvement with the team. Malik’s clarification appears aimed at addressing speculation and preventing any further unauthorised use of his identity in connection with the project. The Pakistan Panthers organisers have yet to issue an official response to Malik’s remarks.

It is worth mentioning here that Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik had earlier called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to extend gym operating hours across the province.

In a post on X, Malik acknowledged that regulating business hours is a positive move, but emphasised that gyms and fitness centres should be given special exemptions to better serve the public.

He explained that most office workers prefer to exercise after work, so extending gym hours until 10 pm would help promote a healthier society.

Shoaib Malik further emphasised that health is as important as food, and easy access to fitness facilities is essential for building a better and stronger Pakistan.
