The Annual Plan Coordination Committee (APCC) will hold a meeting tomorrow, June 1, to discuss the development budget for the fiscal year FY2026-27.
The APCC meeting is scheduled to be held in Islamabad on Monday, as part of the government’s preparations for the federal budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The opening session will be held at the Pakistan Secretariat, where Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal is expected to deliver keynote remarks.
The APCC meeting is an important stage in the budget-making process.
The committee reviews development priorities, proposed spending plans and sectoral allocations before recommendations are submitted for approval.
Officials are expected to discuss public investment programmes and development projects for both the federal and provincial governments.

The committee will also examine key economic targets for the next fiscal year, including projections for economic growth and inflation.
The meeting will help shape the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), which outlines government-funded development projects and forms a major part of the annual federal budget.
The APCC’s recommendations are typically considered before the final budget proposals are presented to the federal cabinet and later laid before parliament.
The session had been expected to take place earlier, but has now been confirmed for 1 June.
Pakistan’s federal budget for FY2026–27 is expected to be presented later this month following the completion of consultations and approval of development spending plans.
