Legendary cricketer Wasim Akram has said that he has found a spiritual destination in his heart following his recent performance of Hajj.

This year, Akram performed the pilgrimage alongside former captain Misbah-ul-Haq and cricketer Fakhar Zaman. After completing the sacred journey, he shared an inspiring message on social media, reflecting on his spiritual experience.

In his message, Akram expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform Hajj and described it as a deeply transformative journey.

Posting on X, Wasim Akram wrote: “Alhamdulillah! I am very grateful to Allah Almighty for granting me the privilege of performing Hajj to the ‘Baitullah Sharif’.  

The former captain added that he has found a spiritual destination in his heart, which made it necessary for him to perform Hajj. He said this sacred journey has ignited a divine spark in his soul that will continue to burn forever.

He also wrote that many people speculated about who made this journey and how it happened, but the truth is that it was his completely personal decision.

Wasim Akram also shared a light-hearted moment from Mina, where he joked about “bowling a swing yorker with pebbles,” a video of which went viral.

At the end of his message, he prayed that many more brothers and sisters would also find the courage to undertake this spiritual journey, be blessed with the opportunity to perform Hajj, and be filled with its divine grace.
