Pakistan will host US-Iran signing ceremony in Geneva Shehbaz

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif said that the US-Iran signing ceremony will be held in Geneva on June 19, the private media outlet reported on Monday. PM Shehbaz also said that Pakistan will host the US-Iran signing ceremony in Geneva.

PM Shehbaz earlier wrote in a post on X that the US-Iran talks have reached an agreement and the signing ceremony will be officially held in Geneva on Friday, June 19.

He wrote on X, “Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.”

While confirming the date and location, the prime minister wrote, “The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland.”

Shehbaz Sharif, during today’s National Assembly session, said, “Today, by the grace of Allah, the world has crossed a historic milestone. Describing the development as a turning point after a period of global tension, he said, “After the night of war, the sun of peace has risen.”

He also thanked the US and Iran for finding a solution to the war through negotiations.

Earlier, the United States (US) Vice President JD Vance said that the US-Iran deal had been digitally signed on Sunday. However, the official signing ceremony will be held on June 19 in Geneva.

“We already signed the deal digitally yesterday, and there’s been no money released. And that won’t change,” Vance said while talking to an international media outlet.
