In this digital world, it’s now easy to renew your driving license by using your smartphone while sitting at home.
According to the details, the Punjab government took an initiative to facilitate the citizens, as the residents of Punjab can renew their regular driving licenses by using the “Dastak” app on their smartphones.
After this initiative, the residents of Punjab will no longer need to visit driving license centres as they can renew their licenses by sitting at home.
After this initiative by the Punjab government, the entire process to renew the driving license is online. The residents of Punjab can renew their driving licenses by uploading their documents and paying the required fee online through the “Dastak” app.
Documents required to renew driving license
Before applying, the citizen must have the necessary documents.
Latest photograph (passport size)
Front and back photo of the original identity card
Front and back copies of the driving license and medical certificate.
If the applicant is above 50 years of age, then it is mandatory to upload a medical certificate attested by a government doctor.
Active mobile number and email address.

Earlier, a new facility was launched by the city administration at government hospitals to ease the burden of the citizens of Lahore who are in need of medical certificates for driving licences, free of cost.
To facilitate and simplify the licensing process, special medical fitness certificate centres have been set up at various public hospitals.
The citizens are now able to get their medical fitness certificates free of cost from designated hospitals of the government in Lahore under the supervision of the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore.
