Mumbai-born British filmmaker Cyrus Patel accepted Islam in London, the private media outlet reported on Tuesday. He embraced Islam a day after Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito accepted Islam.
Cyrus Patel is a prominent figure in the film industry and is widely known in India and Western countries.
Turki Al-Alalshikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, shared an official conversion certificate online issued by the London Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre.
The conversion of Cyrus Patel is being widely reported on different TV channels and particularly on social media.
Cyrus Patel was born in Mumbai and is currently based in London. It is pertinent to mention that Cyrus Patel was moved to London in 1999. He has built a successful career in the global film industry.
Cyrus Patel worked as a line producer and Unit Production Manager. His major works include The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Kandahar.

Earlier, British rapper Central Cee, whose real name is Oakley Neil Caesar-Su, publicly announced that he has accepted Islam. He made this announcement during the livestream, saying, “I just changed my name and took my shahada, I am a Muslim now.”
The 27-year-old Central Cee also confirmed that he has changed his name after accepting Islam. He told the audience that his new muslim name is Aqeel. He recited Shahada – the Islamic declaration of faith – during the live stream, marking his official entry into Islam.
