I was sexually abused by househelp as a child: Ainy Jaffri

Actress Ainy Jaffri breaks silence on childhood abuse

Pakistani model and actress Ainy Jaffri has broken silence on a disturbing incident from her childhood, saying that she was sexually abused at the age of just five by the cook at her grandparents’ house.

She recounted that the househelp lured her to the servant quarters on the pretext of giving her a lollipop. Being a young child, she innocently agreed and accompanied him. Once there, the cook subjected her to sexual abuse.

The actress said the traumatic incident still haunts her like a scene from a horror film. Even at that tender age, she sensed that something was wrong but was unable to stop it due to her immaturity.

Despite the ordeal, Jaffri did not remain silent out of fear. She immediately returned home and narrated the entire incident to her mother.

Sharing her story, the actress clarified that her intention is neither to gain sympathy nor to increase her followers. Instead, she aims to highlight that such incidents are far more common than people realise, but many children stay silent due to fear.

“The one who should be afraid is the person committing this heinous act,” she emphasised, adding that perpetrators are often people close to the family, which makes their inappropriate behaviour harder to identify and confront.

Earlier, pakistani actress and model Momina Iqbal has publicly spoken about the emotional and psychological trauma she went through due to harassment, abuse, and threats.

She revealed that the experience left her feeling as though she had “maybe died” internally. She described this as one of the difficult periods of her life and said it had a devastating impact not only on her but also on her entire family.

According to the actress, she has been facing online harassment, cyberbullying, intimidation, and death threats for an extended period, creating severe mental stress and emotional exhaustion, affecting her daily life and sense of security.

Momina stated that she had repeatedly approached the relevant authorities for help, including the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). However, she claimed that no meaningful action was taken despite her complaints and was discouraged from pursuing the matter further.
