ANP leader accuses KP Minister Meena Khan of serious corruption

The Awami National Party (ANP) has levelled serious corruption allegations against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Meena Khan. ANP Provincial General Secretary Shah Hussain Yousafzai alleged that Meena Khan was involved in selling doctor posts for Rs 1.5 million each.

Yousafzai further claimed that the alleged transactions were carried out while sitting in the Chief Minister’s House, calling for accountability and a formal investigation into the matter

While speaking to the media along with other leaders in Peshawar, he claimed that corruption amounting to Rs 2.1 billion was committed within just three to four days through manipulation in the recruitment process of 1,400 doctors appointed on one-year contracts.

Shah Hussain Yousafzai stated that severe irregularities were committed in the recruitment process, under which highly qualified and specialised doctors were deprived of jobs, while those who allegedly paid bribes or used influence were appointed.

He further said that the initial merit list was uploaded on the official portal, and screenshots of it are still available with candidates. However, he claimed that the original results were later removed from the portal, and marks were allegedly altered manually before being awarded to selected individuals.

The ANP provincial general secretary strongly criticised the ruling party and questioned what happened to the claims of a corruption-free Pakistan, “Naya Pakistan,” and the “State of Madinah.” He challenged Meena Khan to come forward and deny these allegations under oath, saying that if proven wrong, he would leave politics. However, if he presents witnesses supporting the allegations, the public will see the reality for themselves.

He added that the ANP (Allied Doctors) is active against this injustice and will unite all affected doctors and take the matter to its conclusion against this alleged corruption.
